The gb winter season

The Winter 2011 Season ends on March 31st, 2011 at 9:00PM EST.

The new Spring Season 2011 will launch immediately following the Winter season, and you will begin to start playing right away. All of your team's historical stats, roster and information carries over. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CREATE A NEW TEAM. However, you will still need to enroll your team in the new season by visiting the Ladder page and clicking to enroll.

This season you will NOT have to select your Playoff Roster. We will build the roster for you once you play your first match for the month of March. This leads into our second change for this season: the roster lock will take affect on the first day of the last month of the season. To clarify:

THE OFFICIAL ROSTER LOCK DATE IS TUESDAY, MARCH 1st AT 9:00 PM EST.


Playoff eligibility requirements

* Roster changes including invites, gamertag and role changes will be prohibited, NO EXCEPTIONS, after this time.
* Any team that clicks the Override Roster Lock button will be ineligible to compete in the Playoffs.
* Your team must have played a minimum of 5 matches in the month of March to be eligible for Playoffs.
* Your team must meet the minimum roster limit required by your Ladder. If teams cannot agree on the number of players in a match, the minimum number of required players will be used.
* Teams created after the Roster Lock Date are not affected; however, they are also ineligible for Playoffs.

Note: Playoffs are being run on Ladders in which there was enough activity to warrant having a Playoff, which will be determined by Staff. Achievements will only be given to first place winners of a Playoff. Ladders that did not receive a Playoff will not be eligible for an achievement.

On March 1st, rosters will lock on any ladder that will be hosting Playoffs. On March 15th, Bracket sizes will be released for each ladder that is hosting Playoffs. Shortly after that time, Playoff Rules and Settings, along with Gametypes that will be used in Playoff Matches, will be released. Each playoff round may have predetermined gametypes that each team will have to play.
