I own two dogs. In my life I have owned 4. The key thing with both owning your dog, and raising it is to act as if its your child. Especially if the dog belongs to you. I have gotten in fist fights over people mistreating my dogs. Especially my oldest Miko, who is a 105 pound pitbull/mastive mix. Tell your sister straight up that it is YOUR fucking dog. Not hers. Lock the door when you go to sleep at night. Especially if they hurt it, if they hurt it again don't hesitate to kick the little sluts in the teeth. I have two dogs right now. Miko is the oldest (6) and Max (scottish terrier/doxin) is the baby (1). Don't let anyone raise your dog. My oldest sister is a veterinarian, and my younger owns a pet store in Beverly Hills. We grew up with dogs. We all had our own. so believe me when I tell you I speak from years of experience.
If dogs are mistreated at a young age, they become timid of human contact, that or become very violent towards humans. If the dog spends more time with your sister it may become confused as to who its owner is, it will be very hard to control. The key word is DOMINANCE. Make sure everyone knows who the owner of the dog is. Including the dog itself. Remember, punishing is not hating. You do not want to spoil the dog. Also, don't completely close it off from people, but be more tedious to whom it gets exposed too. If people I do not trust or know want to see/pet my dogs I stand right next to them while they do it and always have my hand on there collar. My dogs are firmly obedient and truly are my family. I hope you have the same result.
These are my kids.
